Description
Ghoru Haldi – Pure Sirmaur Haldi, Traditionally Stone-Ground
Rooted in the rich traditions of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, Sirmora Ghoru Haldi is made from traditional haldi rhizomes (Curcuma longa), carefully sourced for their authentic colour, earthy aroma, and natural goodness. Made from non-hybrid, traditional varieties of turmeric, our haldi celebrates the way turmeric was cherished and prepared in the olden days—simple, pure, and close to nature. The dried turmeric rhizomes are traditionally stone-ground in a water-powered gharat (water mill), a time-honoured process that gently transforms the roots into a fine, naturally vibrant yellow powder while preserving their characteristic aroma and flavour. No artificial colour, no preservatives, and nothing unnecessary—just pure, original haldi.
Turmeric has been treasured for generations as a natural source of curcumin, known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is traditionally used to support overall wellness, digestion, and immunity, and is a cherished ingredient in everyday cooking as well as traditional Indian home remedies. Add it to dals, sabzis, curries, milk, marinades, or your favourite recipes to bring natural colour, earthy flavour, and traditional goodness to your food.
